We are looking for multiple dedicated and experienced Patient Access Associate 3's to join our brand-new multispecialty health center in Woodbridge, VA. These roles will be full-time, day shift with varying hours from Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

The Patient Access Associate 3 provides excellent service by identifying customer needs and fulfilling customer expectations related to patient admissions and other assigned activities related to patient scheduling for medical procedures. They are responsible for verifying and entering insurance information and authorization/referral requirements and will counsel patients on financial liability and ensure a safe patient care environment to the fullest potential to achieve team goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Explains insurance benefits and patient liability using appropriate communication methods/styles.
  • Supports scheduling activities by conducting pre-service activities such as insurance verification/submission.
  • Gathers information about customer complaints in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Reports safety hazards/violations and takes appropriate action to protect the environment and guests until help arrives - if necessary.
  • Accepts and provides direct/honest feedback between team members in a non-punishing manner
  • Troubleshoots individual admission issues in collaboration with other departments/staff.
  • Identifies and communicates payroll authorization and referral requirements.
  • Delivers an acceptable volume of work with high levels of accuracy.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Experience: 2 years of healthcare patient access experience or 2 years of experience in a healthcare revenue cycle role
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Prior experience using EPIC or similar scheduling software


Additional Details:



  • The Woodbridge Health Center is located at 14349 Gideon Drive, Woodbridge, VA 22192.
  • The Health Center is scheduled to open December 9, 2025.
  • New Hires must be available for onsite orientation and training November 17-21 and December 1-9.
  • Position will require travel to surrounding clinics for training
  • Tentative employment start date: Early October
