Tactical Air Support Inc. Production Controller Jacksonville, Florida $35.00 - $37.00/hr DOE Position Summary Tactical Air Support, Inc. is seeking an experienced Production Controller to provide daily oversight of all functional and operational activities of Production Control. The Production Controller will provide training in oversight and technical design review, applying advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems and offer guidance to other teammates as needed. This position will achieve business objectives by supervising staff, organizing work, and monitoring progress. The position also requires the Production Controller to write work tickets and SOPs for our contractual obligation to the Government, along with ensuring those documents are properly controlled. Responsibilities
- Write work tickets using Microsoft and Excel.
- Track work status and completion on each aircraft daily.
- Serve as an advocate for the company to ensure employees receive information about policies, programs, change directives, and to support the organization's culture.
- Serve as an advocate for employees to represent employee requests and opportunities for recognition or advancement to management.
- Identify staffing requirements and utilize the company recruitment program to recruit, recommend hiring, and retain qualified candidates.
- Track completion of work tickets and drawings.
- Oversees sign-offs for proper documentation of tech data and drawing numbers before filing.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED with 3+ years of experience maintaining aircraft and engine logbooks, aeronautical equipment service records, and associated logs.
- An equivalent combination of training, education, and experience in a relevant field or industry will be considered.
- Familiarity or experience with the U.S. Armed Forces and Department of Defense (DoD) federal contractors and the aerospace and/or defense industry. Knowledgeable in maintenance control functions such as discrepancy verifications, writing Maintenance Action Forms, and maintaining Aircraft Discrepancy Books.
- Knowledge of DCMA 8210, applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, other applicable DoD instructions, manufacturer manuals, and company instructions.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to utilize various software and applications for creating documents, reports, and forms as required.
- Valid state Driver's License.
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.
Desired Experience/Skills
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
- Previous experience with U.S. military and/or FAA aircraft logbooks and documentation.
- Naval Aviation VIDS/MAF and SCIR documentation preferred.
Physical Demands
- An occasional lift to 50 pounds (with assistance, if required).
- Regularly, we use our hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, reaching with hands and arms.
- Regularly ascend/descend stairs and/or ladders.
Work Authorization and Environment
- Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form.
- Tactical Air Support is a Drug & Alcohol-Free Workplace. Pre-employment, random, or for-cause drug/alcohol testing (including marijuana) is required.
- Pre-employment and ongoing physical certifications are required.
- Occasional aircraft hangar or warehouse environment with exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate (hot/cold), electrical shock, or trip or slip hazards.
- May be exposed to or required to handle hazardous materials.
- Specific work hours determined by operational, departmental, or contractual requirements.
- Occasional travel to various work sites throughout the U.S. may be required.
