Job Summary

The Integrated Project Team (IPT) Lead is responsible for the comprehensive leadership, management, and oversight of complex training exercises, events and special projects. This role involves interpreting client requirements, often from initial statements of objectives through strategic planning, development, and execution. The IPT Lead coordinates internal functional teams, including administration, logistics, operations, aviation, and medical sections, ensuring seamless integration to meet and exceed client expectations and contractual obligations.

Role and Responsibilities

This role strategically collaborates with internal sections and external stakeholders to accurately interpret client objectives and develop detailed operational plans. This position includes managing internal resources, coordinating external vendors and subject matter experts, and ensuring compliance with government contracting standards and security regulations. Frequent travel (approximately 35%) is necessary to effectively oversee onsite implementation and maintain rigorous quality standards.

Other significant areas of focus include:

  • Strategically partner with business development, administrative, logistics (Mission Hardware), operations, aviation, and medical sections to project and plan comprehensive solutions to client objectives.
  • Directly interpret and translate client statements of objectives (SOO) into detailed and actionable concept of operations (CONOP) products and execute to a high level, manifesting in the development of a comprehensive after-action review (AAR) product for the client and an internal AAR for the company.
  • Lead and facilitate weekly Integrated Project Team synchronization meetings to ensure ongoing alignment, project tracking, and effective communication.
  • Manage coordination between internal stakeholders, including the program management office to effectively allocate resources, manage task execution and coordinate support.
  • Oversee the engagement and management of subject matter experts, vendors, role players, subcontractors, and other external resources to fulfill contractual deliverables.
  • Ensure project compliance with all applicable government contracting and security regulations.
  • Develop and maintain detailed CONOPs, modifying and updating as required for each training exercise.
  • Provide strong leadership and mentorship to internal teams, promoting high standards of performance, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Actively engage in continuous improvement processes to enhance organizational reputation, client satisfaction, and future business opportunities.
  • Represent the organization professionally, contributing strategically to growth by building a positive corporate reputation and fostering client relationships.
  • Travel domestically and internationally (approximately 35%) to ensure onsite project execution and compliance with quality standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Provide direct oversight to independent contractors, vendors, subject matter experts and other functional areas.
Required Qualifications and Education
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in a Joint Special Operations Forces environment.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience managing multi-disciplinary teams within one or more functional areas
  • Minimum of 15 years' experience serving in the military or working as a US Federal employee, or US Federal Contractor
  • Must be a United States citizen
Preferred Qualifications and Education
  • Minimum of 10-15 years' experience serving in the military or working as a US Federal employee, or US Federal Contractor
