Who You Are...

As Senior Engineer, you are responsible for all engineering aspects of a project, including sales assistance, conceptual design, document preparation, code compliance, construction administration, and post project follow-up. This role will have a strong focus on solution sales support.

This Position...

Some examples of the work you might do includes:



  • Develops and maintains trusted advisor status with sales staff and their customers, which includes developing smart technical solutions with ROI and communicating code compliance issues.
  • Makes regular site visits and builds a growing library of technical knowledge for existing facilities of top customers.
  • Partners with sales staff in the development of sales strategies.
  • Develops and defines applicable performance criteria and code compliance requirements for proposed solutions.
  • Develops "Scope Clarification Documents" to define proposed scopes of work to customers, and for internal estimating purposes.
  • Provides and/or oversees technical analysis of proposed solutions.
  • Provides and/or oversees the production and distribution of design document deliverables, and reviews them for compliance with engineering standards, defined design criteria, contract requirements, and applicable codes.
  • Resolves project issues, scope changes, and field questions as they arise.
  • Participates in local industry functions that are strategically aligned with top customers.
  • Manages staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a safe working environment and encourages the safety of others, especially at job sites.


What You Need...



  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 8+ years of MEP engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with applicable federal, state, and local building codes and safety laws.
  • Strong grasp of fundamental engineering principles, analysis, calculations, and systems.
  • Subject matter expert in one or more areas of MEP engineering related to the design, construction, commissioning, operation, and/or maintenance of facilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with diverse audiences.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have a driving record compliant with the Company's policies and MVR requirements, and consent to ongoing driving record monitoring by the Company.
  • Willingness and ability to work in the local office and make site visits to customers and/or facilities.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to attend meetings and conduct site visits/inspections.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Registered professional engineer
  • 2+ years of leadership/managerial experience.
  • 10+ years of design/engineering experience.

Work Environment:



  • This position operates primarily in an office environment, and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, and printers.


Physical Demands:



  • In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to talk, hear, perform repetitive motion, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity.
  • This is considered a sedentary position, which means possible exertion up to ten (10) pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
