Your Opportunity as Kitting Production Supervisor Location: Edgerton,. KS Work Arrangements: Monday - Friday, 3 pm to 12:30 am, some Saturdays In this role you will:
- Report to assigned shift in a timely manner with adequate time to prepare for oncoming shift
- Review available staffing and work assignments while updating Daily Staffing Sheet in a timely manner
- Walk assigned area and identify available equipment and any safety needs
- Review staffing assignments for production lines in the department
- Actively participate in shift start-ups bringing pertinent information to the team highlighting the current safety topics, accomplishments, and other announcements
- Verify labor needs vs. daily schedule provided by production scheduler
- Plan and continuously monitor departmental operation throughout the shift to ensure that all work requirements and customer needs are being met.
- Responsible for instilling the Smucker culture through the Basic Beliefs and Our Commitment to Each Other.
- Responsible for safety, facility security, and housekeeping on shift.
- Provide performance-based feedback to direct reports through monitoring of individual performances and job assignments.
- Drive and implement the business plan to achieve or exceed goals.
- Implement Lean principles to drive operational improvements.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with company quality and safety standards, policies, procedures and directives.
- Prepare, review, analyze and present business reports and updates to identify operational improvements in production, quality, and safety.
- Assist in staffing and training of assigned associates.
- Assist in scheduling and movement of labor in the facility in order to achieve company objectives.
- Ensure that all equipment is maintained and compliant with company policies.
- Demonstrate and promote a solution based positive attitude in meeting goals and objectives.
- Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained with an eye for detail.
- Promote and ensure a safe work environment.
- Translate complex information into easily understandable messages to facilitate clear communication and expectations across all levels of the organization.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule that most effectively supports the organization.
- Willingness to work off-shifts as needed.

- 3+ years' experience in comprehensive management, including at least 3 years of experience in management of inventory within distributions logistics preferably in a 24x7x365 environment.
- Bachelor's degree required
- Demonstrated planning, organizational, and analytical skills; able to partner and communicate with all levels of an organization from hourly associates to senior management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, warehouse management systems, database systems.
- Proven ability to multi-task, set and manage priorities based on business requirements.
- Experience in Blue Yonder, Oracle and IMI systems is a plus.

- Must have working knowledge of basic programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
