PURPOSE:
The Maintenance Supervisor provides leadership, supervision, and coordination of the maintenance functions in the day-to-day planning and execution of work orders and objectives while meeting or exceeding safety and environmental regulations and performance goals. This position directs the scheduling as well as the maintenance activities in such a manner that high-quality repairs are completed in a timely manner aligned with the plant's safety, environmental, and production objectives.


KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with all Calumet health, safety, and environmental procedures.
* Planning and execution of maintenance tasks to achieve high equipment uptime and integrity
* Establish the performance standards for maintenance utilizing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), develop the method of measurement, and provide timely and routine feedback to those responsible for the performance (performance management)
* Complete engineering projects and interface with contractors as needed.
* Perform regular risk assessments of the site.
* Find solutions or products to reduce potential hazards around the plant.
* Make decisions and set priorities that require evaluating potential safety and environmental risks associated with various alternatives.
* Personally direct major equipment repairs by ensuring proper monitoring of the condition of plant equipment in cooperation with the Operations and Mechanical Integrity groups to maintain reliable operation.
* Must be able to interpret Process Flow Diagrams and Process System Piping and Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs)
* Troubleshoot quality and process problems in collaboration with Operations Superintendents and others to ensure all aspects of equipment operation and maintenance are managed.
* Ensure the efficient use of the ERP/CMMS system including the timely closure of work orders, updating of maintenance task routines, and generation of reports.
* Responsible for managing on-site maintenance team members
* Ensure proper training and coaching of all maintenance personnel and the evaluation of performance of the team in a continuous manner.
* Responsible for the accurate reporting and keeping of all health, safety, and environmental records.
* Verify MOC's and PSSR's are completed and provide final sign off.
* Perform maintenance housekeeping.
* Manage and optimize maintenance expense and capital budget, inventory, and equipment.
* Additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:
* High school degree or equivalent
* 5+ years previous Maintenance Supervision experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
* The candidate must be available for emergency call-ins.
* Previous certified mechanical, welding and/or electrical experience

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and JDE/SAP or similar system
* Associate's degree in maintenance/ production/ science/ business/ related field
* Previous PSM experience
* Previous 5S experience
