Onsite Only, Temp to Perm possible.The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall project management, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and closure of the complete life cycle of software development initiatives, from business requirements, through executive approval, program execution, and delivery. This role will focus on managing multiple software development projects while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and processes.

Responsibilities

- Delivery of complex software development projects on time, within scope, and within budget, adhering to current IT and SDLC processes.

- Responsible for simultaneously working on multiple projects and delivering them successfully.

- Works independently on projects with internal and external customers/vendors and reports progress regularly to senior management.

- Develops and tracks project plans and milestones, issues and risks, actual versus planned schedule, and quality metrics.

- Prepares and maintains detailed project plans, including activities, tasks, assignments, milestones, and estimates. Controls project scope and enforces strong project change management processes.

- Owns project issue resolution and risk management.

- Provides project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, progress, and overall project health.

- Coordinates and tracks the project activities of the project team, including implementation vendors, architects, business analysts, Bell technical staff, and business stakeholders.

- Ensures consistent application across projects of Bell's system development life-cycle process, including quality processes and turnover to production.

- Responsible for project initiation activities, including definition of project scope & objectives, formation of project teams, development of high-level requirements, and solution architecture that harmonizes with existing enterprise architecture.

- Conducts project post-implementation reviews to evaluate whether project objectives were met, to determine how effectively the project was run, and to identify areas for future improvement, including both business and IT processes.

- Responsible for project planning and project portfolio management.

- Ability to work under general instruction from the manager on new assignments, and with little to no direction in day-to-day work.

- Ability to mentor junior Project Managers.

Requirements

- 3-5 years of experience working in project management, preferably in software development or IT projects.

- Experience with IT infrastructure and software development projects is strongly preferred.

- Experience with organizational change management is preferred.

- Project management experience across IT and business functions.

- Experience leading large cross-functional projects.

- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, issue analysis, and resolution skills.

-Strong communication and people management skills.

- Experience communicating with executives and stakeholders.

- Experience leading IT initiatives across various methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.

- Passion for leading and implementing change.

- Must be able to manage time, work under pressure, and deliver on tight deadlines.

- The ability to work collaboratively across several IT and business functions to gain buy-in to new processes.

- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is REQUIRED

- PMP certification is STRONGLY preferred.
