Responsibilities

Health Research, Inc. is seeking an Hourly Project Assistant II to work within the Public Health Continuing Education Unit. The incumbent in this position will be responsible to assist with researching and collating a battery of lesser-known productivity enhancing tips and tricks for software packages currently available to NYSDOH staff, particularly the Office 365 Suite. Using that research, the incumbent will assist to create a series of accessible, video-based, microlearning modules and then upload those modules into the Learning Management System.

This position is part of the Pathways to Public Health Internship Program. It is made available through funding from the Center for Disease Control's Public Health Infrastructure Grant to expand opportunities to strengthen career pathways to public health by bringing together students of all disciplines and academic levels with public health professionals to create a space of exploration, learning, and development.

Minimum Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a relevant training program or pursuing a related degree or certificate in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with the innovation and reimagining of upskilling and microlearning opportunities such as brief how to videos, or step-by-step guides.

Conditions of Employment

Hourly, grant funded position expected until approximately 11/28/2025. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.

Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Travel, 10% of the time, will be required.

The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire. Telecommuting will not be available.
