Compensation Grade: H96Compensation Details: Minimum: $20.00 - Maximum: $20.00 HourlyDepartment (OPH) Office of Public HealthJob Description: Responsibilities Health Research, Inc. is seeking an Hourly Project Assistant II to work within the Public Health Continuing Education Unit. The incumbent will assist in identifying, gauging, and selecting suitable third-party Microsoft Office training providers. The role will focus on minimizing the use of Microsoft's direct services to ensure cost-effective, scalable, and high-quality training tools for Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and other MS Office Tools. This role will work with the Public Health Education Coordinator in Central Region, to assess skill gaps and prioritize training needs. Undertaking a global and local data approach to the market which will include evaluation of vendor cost, quality assurance, and outreach for information, this role will work to provide a vendor database, actionable reports, cost-benefit analysis, and work with their supervisor for final recommendations. The incumbent will work toward improving training and development needs through collaborative approaches across the Office of Public Health. This position is part of the Pathways to Public Health Internship Program. It is made available through funding from the Center for Disease Control's Public Health Infrastructure Grant to expand opportunities to strengthen career pathways to public health by bringing together students of all disciplines and academic levels with public health professionals to create a space of exploration, learning, and development. Currently enrolled in a relevant training program or pursuing a related degree or certificate in a related field. Preferred Qualifications Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, strong research, communication, and analytic skills. Basic understanding of corporate training evaluations. Experience synthesizing and aggregating data to determine actionable insights. Conditions of Employment Hourly, grant funded position expected until approximately 11/28/2025. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Travel, 10% of the time, will be required. The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire.
