The Scrum Master is a servant-leader responsible for enabling agile teams to deliver high-value outcomes through the consistent application of Scrum principles and practices. This mid-level role supports 1-2 cross-functional Scrum teams by removing impediments, fostering self-organization, and driving continuous improvement. The Scrum Master partners closely with Product Owners, Delivery Leads, and stakeholders to ensure the team maintains a healthy cadence of delivery, aligns with organizational priorities, and adheres to agile best practices. This is a hybrid position that requires in office hours.
* Bachelor's degree required. Will consider commensurate experience * Familiarity with financial regulations strongly preferred. * Five (5) years' experience as a Scrum Master, preferably in financial services. * A credential from one of the following organizations: the Scrum Alliance, Scrum Inc, Scrum.org, PMI or ICAgile Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements: * Prior knowledge of Agile project management tools, such as Jira * Deep understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and Lean principles. * Excellent leadership, coaching, teaching, collaboration and mentoring skills to drive results in cross functional teams * Strong communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills. * Experience working with teams applying DevSecOps capabilities to achieve delivery speed and operational stability * and improving processes, implementing the best practices * Ability to adapt, stay focused, and drive results in a fast-paced, changing environment Essential Functions: * Facilitate Agile Scrum ceremonies (daily stand ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives). * Promote Agile best practices, metrics, and a culture of transparency. * Embody the Scrum Values: Openness, Respect, Courage, Commitment and Focus * Teach and mentor teams on Lean, Agile, and Scrum/Kanban principles and best practices * Coach and support 1-2 Agile teams toward high performance, self management, and continuous improvement. * Work with various teams to coach and promote self-organization and understanding of Agile principles and frameworks * Remove team impediments and escalate risks to leadership. * Support planning, coaching and project execution for various teams * Increase transparency with sharing team successes, risks and issues * Ensure the outcomes of the events are achieved * Partner with the Product Owner to be in sync; ensure alignment of the Product vision, goals, delivery of customer-centric products and a healthy backlog * Protect sprint goals and enforce Scrum discipline while collaborating with product owners and business SMEs. * Foster stakeholder alignment and clear communication across departments. * Be a change agent and help the teams navigate through organization change leveraging ADKAR and other Change Management methodologies * All employees have the responsibility and the accountability to serve as risk managers for their businesses by understanding, reporting, responding to, managing and monitoring the risk they encounter daily as required by Dollar Bank's risk management program.
