CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

OPERATIONS

  • Provide lead support in day-to-day key processes, including: responding to and managing customer requests; intake, processing and responding to requests from community partners and employees, escalating as needed

  • Preparation of materials and reports for Sherwin-Williams Foundation

  • Reconciliation and tracking of budget reports for department and Sherwin-Williams Foundation

  • Support and troubleshoot data maintenance, transfers and payments through applicable technology platforms

  • Standardize and update department standard operating procedures, ensuring timely actions and follow-ups for department-led programs and investments

GRANTMAKING/GRANTS MANAGEMENT

  • Manage relationships and grantmaking process for Cleveland-area grantmaking portfolio

  • Manage relationships and grantmaking process for domestic grantmaking and strategic sponsorship portfolios

  • Process, document, and track grant payments and status

  • Document grant and contribution impacts against philanthropic mission, individually and holistically across portfolios

PROGRAMS/COMMUNICATION

  • Create and feed community-related stories to Company intranet, both domestic and global activity and content

  • Support key annual giving campaigns, in coordination with applicable internal teams

  • Manage in-kind donation process, responding, tracking and reporting against budget

  • Maintain/update resources to support site and District-level volunteering and outreach activities

  • Lead coordination and communication with HomeWork program manager, including budgeting, outreach, and invoicing

Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. POSITION REQUIREMENTS

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree

Preferred:

  • Significant coursework in communications, marketing, public relations, nonprofit management

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • Experience in working in a community engagement or other external-facing role in a professional setting
  • Must have an attention to detail, be proactive, flexible and creative in problem solving
  • Demonstrated advanced communication (written and oral) skills
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize and multitask efficiently

Preferred:

  • Database entry, retrieval and analysis
  • Experience in nonprofit fundraising or grantmaking

  • Microsoft Outlook

Preferred:

  • Blackbaud/YourCause platform
