Agentic AI Solution Engineer, Senior Manager

The Opportunity:

As an experienced engineer, you know that artificial intelligence (AI), particularly Agentic AI and Generative AI, is transforming the world, including every aspect of the way businesses are run. We need your technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities to identify and develop opportunities for the use of AI agents to solve real-world business and operational problems that will help Booz Allen and its clients execute missions of national importance.

In this role, you will be hands-on designing and building new agentic AI products and offerings, and integrating them into the operations of our customers, both within the enterprise business context and in discrete mission use cases. You will collaborate with a community of research and experimentation leaders, software and IT operations engineers, AI and ML experts, data scientists, solution architects, systems engineers, and product owners to deliver world-class solutions that can scale to production. Your advanced solutioning skills and extensive technical expertise will help drive innovation that is applicable across multiple client domains. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience in full-stack software engineering, including leading teams to build customer-facing solutions and products
  • Experience working and leading in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment, consisting of security engineers, data scientists, machine learning engineers, and designers
  • Experience with integrating LLMs or multi-modal models with applications or user interfaces
  • Experience in building RAG systems with vector databases, such as Pinecone, Weaviate, or ChromaDB, and embedding models
  • Experience with development, deployment, and maintenance of AI agents or agentic solutions, including use of an agentic framework, such as LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or CrewAI
  • Experience in managing and mentoring staff
  • Ability to optimize LLM performance through strategic prompt design and engineering
  • Ability to grasp, weigh, and articulate strategic considerations factoring into key product and engineering decisions, demonstrating business, technical, and leadership acumen
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience with working with modern AI capabilities in machine learning, including deep learning and LLM frameworks
  • Experience with AI-assisted development, such as Cursor, Windsurf, or Claude Code
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code or standup of cloud-based infrastructure and platform services, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience working with Federal clients
  • Knowledge of Google agent-to-agent (A2A) communication and Model Context Protocol (MCP)
  • Ability to distill complex technical concepts into easily understood summaries consumable by business leaders with a non-technical background
  • Ability to be curious and leverage passion for experimentation and continuous learning at the forefront of emerging technologies, approaches, and architectures
  • Possession of strong verbal and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $142,900.00 to $266,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
