About The Role - Who You'll Work With ...

SourceAmerica is searching for a Cost and Pricing Senior Representative, to join our team. This role will focus on reviewing and analyzing the financials of our business stakeholders to ensure compliance with accounting standards, federal and state regulations, and internal policies of the AbilityOne Program. The Cost and Pricing Senior Representative will provide training and technical support to the Account Services team, as well as producing Non-Profit Agencies (NPAs), to ensure proper cost allocation, compliance with regulations, and appropriate allocation of direct and indirect expenses.

There are approximately 500 NPAs in the SourceAmerica nonprofit network that provide products or services through the AbilityOne Program and approximately 36,000 AbilityOne employees are in the SourceAmerica nonprofit network.

What You Will Do ...

The Cost and Pricing Senior Representative, will develop and deliver training, provide guidance, and offer technical advice to stakeholders in procurement, cost accounting, regulatory pricing compliance, and adherence to AbilityOne Commission regulations and policies. Your work functions will include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating and prioritizing internal and external resources to streamline the indirect rate review process for AbilityOne Service Contracts.
  • Serve as a technical resource to SourceAmerica staff and NPA personnel in providing guidance on compliance with applicable AbilityOne and government laws and regulations and with SourceAmerica policies and procedures.
  • Reviewing and analyzing stakeholders' financials to ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies
  • Educating stakeholders on cost allocation, regulatory compliance, and appropriate allocation of indirect expenses in accordance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Collaborating with various departments and external contractors to resolve issues and clarify indirect cost accounting practices.
  • Other responsibilities will be assigned as organizational needs arise.

Salary Range

The salary for this position falls in a range between $85,000.00 and $110,000.00 depending on your experience and geographic location in the United States.

What We're Looking For ...

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a relevant field of study from an accredited institution instead of applicable skills training. SourceAmerica recognizes 1.5 years of experience = 1 year of college, should the candidate not meet the educational requirement.
  • 5 years' relevant work experience in cost accounting.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), nonprofit accounting practices.
  • Working knowledge of Business operational practices dealing with the government and commercial work environment.
  • Experience with pricing and costing, FAR and CFR pricing/costing principles.
  • Ability and willingness to develop and deliver effective pricing/costing training to internal SourceAmerica staff and to the NPA community
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, cost accounting standards, and regulatory requirements related to direct and indirect costs.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to review and interpret indirect cost proposals and cost allocation methodologies.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex pricing strategies to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Travel up to approximately as required by your manager.

Preferred Qualifications ...

  • Advanced Excel Skills.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in cost accounting.
  • Proven expertise in process improvement and coaching methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal government contracting regulations and compliance.
  • Strong business judgment and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficient in data analysis and interpretation.

Work Environment

Our organization offers both a hybrid and remote work environment where employees work in our office two to three days per week and work from home the balance of the workweek.

* Due to the requirements of this position - The candidate must be based near a SourceAmerica's Office in Vienna, VA (greater-Washington, DC metro area, Kennesaw, GA, Chicago, Il, Arlington, TX). SourceAmerica's employees who live within 30 commuting miles of our offices work in a hybrid setting with 2-3 days in office and the balance as remote work.
