POSITION SUMMARY

The Inventory manager plays an essential role supporting the direction of the retail rental department for SSRC. This position will successfully and efficiently coordinate the distribution of all retail goods in an accurate manner and coordinate backstock, replenishment and UPC issues with store managers, warehouse manager, buying team, and senior retail manager. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, organizational, multitasking and problem-solving skills. The candidate will be very detail orientated and thrive in a dynamic environment. An aptitude to function within deadlines while working both independently and as a part of a team is essential. If you like the logo business, like living in a resort town and have experience then this could be a great fit.

Develops and executes product assortments and merchandising strategies that maximize sales, margin/COGs and inventory turnover through inventory movement. Assists Retail Management team to facilitate appropriate aesthetic presentation and guest satisfaction. Drives initial implementation and daily execution for planning, analyzing, forecasting and distribution of all Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp. retail product while adhering to company and divisional strategies. Oversees all operational aspects of Steamboat's E-Comm(Online Store) department including website development and content as well as product assortment and team management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Store to store product replenishments and inventory movement
  • Inventory Adjustments and transfers
  • Warehouse to store product replenishment
  • Work with Aged inventory movement, sale establishment, product sell through
  • Support a "never out" logo program design
  • Support manager to buying product requests and replenishment
  • Support auto replenishment inventory accuracy
  • Buying team liaison to develop forecasts and new store growth
  • Buying team liaison to support additional Logo specific needs to develop unique store assortments
  • Assist in Inventory, Cycle Counts, RTV's
  • Work directly with Shared Services team to support inventory UPC management
  • Assist the Retail Senior manager with ideas and suggestions on product support from store to store, sale suggestions, moving misc. items around to complete full collections
  • Work hand in hand with the Visual Merchandiser to complete and execute product moves, store sales, inventory movement ideas, special events etc
  • Manages Steamboat's Online Store
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
  • Other duties as assigned


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years of related professional experience in the retail industry and with inventory processes
  • Experience within a retail receiving warehouse is preferred
  • Experience with inventory management systems required
  • Experience in management of Retail Outlet(s) required
  • Experience with inventory management and retail POS systems
  • Ability to manage through competing priorities
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to manage teams with a fun and uplifting work ethic
  • Trend analysis and problem-solving skills are required
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong computer skills especially in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with the Steamboat Ski and Resort Retail and Rental locations and action sports industry
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be efficient with strong attention to detail.
  • Ecommerce experience a plus
  • Ability to work in a team environment within multiple locations
  • Must have valid driver's license without limitations or restrictions and meet company's insurability standards (will be required to complete Motor Vehicle Record)
  • Ensure understanding and compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
  • Be a consistent role model for company's Service Excellence standards
  • Communicate clearly in English, both verbal / non-verbal, and written
  • Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company's Service Excellence standards


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Degree in Administration, Inventory Management, Merchandising, Business or other related field and or related experience preferred


The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on a range of factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives.

Steamboat area base salary range: $56,486 - $61,000 per year

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be minimum 18 years of age
  • Ability to lift and move boxes up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to lift, squat, kneel, bend and stand for long periods of time
