Job Summary: TheNursery Supervisor will assist the management team in all phases of the nursery. This challenging opportunity is suitable for individuals who enjoy the outdoors, gardening, and sharing lawn & garden care knowledge. The ideal candidate must be reliable, flexible, organized, detail oriented and a positive team player. Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Qualifications:
Desired Qualifications: * Associate degree in horticulture or related field * Bilingual in Spanish and English Physical Demands: * Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time or until the end of the assigned shift * Must be able to safely and properly lift and carry plants, pots, and other product * May be asked to lift 50 lbs., on a consistent and regular basis throughout the assigned shift with or without assistance * Must be able to bend/stoop, squat, reach above shoulder height, crouch, balance, and push/pull * Must be able to use both hands for repetitive actions such as grasping and manipulating * Specific vision abilities required include color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception * May vary from site to site and in some cases be greater or less than indicated here. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat.
