The Deputy Head of Admission, UAGC , serves as a key institutional leader driving enterprise-wide strategies to attract, enroll, and support a diverse student population. This role ensures alignment between student enrollment goals and the university's mission, leverages cross-functional collaboration, and integrates technology, analytics, and innovation to create scalable, student-centered pathways. As a senior advisor to executive leadership, the Deputy Head of Admission, UAGC, champions inclusive excellence, policy compliance, and long-range planning.

Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Partner with executive leadership to develop and lead comprehensive, multi-year enrollment strategies aligned to university-wide goals. Drive integrated planning efforts across marketing, student response, admissions, and financial aid to ensure growth, equity, and fiscal sustainability. Use predictive analytics, scenario modeling, and competitive intelligence to guide institutional strategy.

  • Architect and execute operational transformation initiatives, including modernization of CRM systems, workflow automation, and workforce management tools. Lead cross-departmental initiatives to streamline the student journey and ensure scalability of processes. Champion data governance, technology ROI, and the prioritization of enterprise systems.

  • Cultivate a results-oriented and inclusive culture by developing leadership capacity, succession plans, and workforce alignment strategies. Promote psychological safety and high engagement across all enrollment functions. Develop organizational capacity through structured coaching, DEIB initiatives, and career pathway frameworks.

  • Shape institutional enrollment policy and access initiatives by leveraging data-informed practices. Ensure compliance with Title IV, TCPA, FERPA, and evolving federal/state mandates. Provide strategic input to institutional risk mitigation and regulatory alignment strategies.

  • Lead the design and evolution of student-facing technologies and service strategies that enhance student experience and drive measurable success. Champion user-centered design, continuous improvement, and cross-functional innovation in collaboration with IT, academic affairs, and student services.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Demonstrated expertise in leading large-scale enrollment management functions across diverse modalities and populations.

  • Deep understanding of federal/state regulatory frameworks impacting student enrollment (Title IV, TCPA, etc.).

  • Proven ability to lead digital transformation and CRM strategy in a student-centered environment.

  • Skill in executive-level communication and strategic advisory.

  • Experience with multi-year forecasting, enrollment modeling, and ROI analysis.

  • Ability to foster a high-performance culture that emphasizes inclusion, agility, and accountability.

  • Strong change management and organizational design capabilities.



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Higher Education Administration, Business, or a related field is required.

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership in enrollment, admissions, or related student service areas.

  • Demonstrated experience leading strategic initiatives across multiple functional areas at a senior leadership level.

RATE OF PAY: $117,883.00 - $153,248.00

COMPENSATION TYPE: Salary at 1.0 full-time Equivalence (FTE)

GRADE: 12

The Rate of Pay Field represents the University of Arizona's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The University considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the role and the associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, skills, and internal equity.

The Grade Range represents a full range of career compensation growth over time in this position and grade. The university offers compensation growth opportunities within the pay grade under our annual salary increase programs. The grade range for this position is $117,883.00 - $153,248.00. Each unit typically sets starting pay between the minimum and midpoint upon hire as reflected in the Rate of Pay field above.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) (https://clery.arizona.edu/asr) for each of the University's campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
