Responsibilities

Scope:

The Practice Administrator oversees daily operations across 10-15 full-time oncology clinics-including medical, surgical, and radiation specialties. Reporting to the Director of Practice Operations, this leader ensures alignment with business, financial, and clinical goals. The role includes managing a team of clinic managers, driving performance through strategic planning, and fostering a culture of compassionate accountability. This role is responsible for coordinating efforts to optimize our patient access and scheduling procedures. The Practice Administrator also ensures compliance with the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement clinic policies and workflows that improve efficiency, compliance, and patient experience.
  • Analyze operational trends and advise leadership on strategies to meet organizational goals.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across all sites to drive continuous improvement.
  • Optimize patient access through scheduling procedures, staff support and templates
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to align site-level operations with strategic objectives.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of clinic managers and employees, promoting a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Leverage technology and process solutions to support evolving business needs across the practice.
  • Ensure effective communication and information flow across clinics through standardized procedures and reporting.
  • Oversee resource planning, including staffing, facilities, and technology, to support clinic growth and performance.
  • Prepare and present operational reports to support decision-making and track progress toward goals.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational values, mission, and compliance standards.
  • Lead the development and integration of new clinic locations as needed.

Salary Range:

$120,000 - $150,000 annual


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, preferably in a multi-site or outpatient clinic setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through change and scale operations in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Experience using KPIs and dashboards to drive operational decisions.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Certification or experience in project management and process improvement.
  • Leadership experience in oncology or specialty care settings.
  • Experience with managing scheduling and patient access functions.
