Facilities Planning, Design, & Construction

Job Summary

This position is responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining precise technical drawings and plans that support the design, construction, and maintenance of campus facilities and infrastructure. Working closely with project managers and design professionals, the role involves producing accurate drafting work using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design tools. The position also supports project coordination and manages installation efforts as needed to ensure alignment with design intent and timelines.

Responsibilities
  • Develop architectural drawings for buildings, building systems, and infrastructure projects to support operations, maintenance, repairs, and new construction using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Update existing building master plans to reflect current designs and renovations
  • Organize and maintain drawing files, including revisions and as-built documentation
  • Oversee and coordinate project installations to ensure execution aligns with plans and project schedules
  • Provide visual documentation to support facilities planning and design activities
  • Perform site visits for field measurements and verification when necessary
  • Adhere to established drafting standards and quality control processes


Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Drafting, Design Technology, Architecture, or a related field OR a Certification in Drafting in lieu of an Associate's Degree

Required Experience
  • Minimum of 2-4 years experience in AutoCAD, Revit, additional experience with tools like SketchUp or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Understanding of drafting standards, building systems and technical documentation


Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of building codes, ADA requirements, and industry regulations

Preferred Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture or 5-7 years of related work experience

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in coordinating and overseeing project installations or on-site construction work


Proposed Salary

$50,173

This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
