Northern Air Cargo:(NAC) is a scheduled cargo airline based in Anchorage, Alaska. As the largest all-cargo airline in Alaska, NAC operates out of primary bases at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport and the Daniel Inouye International Airport in Honolulu.
Northern Air Maintenance Services, LLC: (NAMS) is a Part 145 certified repair station that provides maintenance/ground services to a major oil exploration and production company on a year-round basis. In addition to maintenance services, NAMS provides all below-wing services including baggage handling, catering, aircraft servicing, passenger loading, etc.
Ryan Air, Inc.: (Ryan), a Part 135 air carrier, operates a fleet of 23 aircraft including Cessna 207's, Cessna 208's, Casa 212's, SAAB 340's, and Pilatus PC-12's and utilizes a hub-and-spoke model to deliver bypass mail, general freight, and to a smaller extent, passengers to over 70 villages in rural Alaska.
Aloha Air Cargo: (AAC) is the largest air freight carrier in the state of Hawaii and is a vital transportation provider to business, government, and non-profit entities. AAC moves approximately 350,000 pounds of diverse cargo, including perishables and priority packages, per day to all the major destinations (Honolulu, Kahului, Lihue, Kona, and Hilo).
Aloha Tech Ops: (ATO) provides aircraft maintenance and repair services to several airlines flying to all the major destinations in Hawaii. ATO provides over 2,000 pre-departure checks monthly to its various customers.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for performing complex payroll duties and responsibilities, that require specialized skills and knowledge with minimal supervision, completely, accurately, and in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works with employees to facilitate resolution to payroll errors.
- Verifies timecards and follows up with managers to obtain appropriate approvals.
- Maintains the payrolls and timekeeping systems.
- Enters gift cards/service awards/prizes for tax purposes.
- Enters employee parking reimbursements.
- Creates invoices for Payroll Manager's approval.
- Process multiple company and state payrolls.
- Enters garnishments and reviews garnishment calculations.
- Reconciles employee benefit arrears and reviews deductions.
- Attends local payroll chapters and other trainings.
- Reconciles employees leave adjustments.
- Works with HR to ensure payroll system data is accurate.
- Prepares ad hoc reports such as PTO balances.
- Assists with year-end processing.
- Ensures payroll files are uploaded for 1095 preparation.
- Takes lead in system audits, 401k audits, and other audits as required.
- Assists in implementing and maintain procedures and policies.
- Acts as a lead to monitor, support, and motivate the payroll team.
- Trains new and lower-level payroll specialists in various payroll functions.
- Up-to-date knowledge of city, state, and federal legislation affecting payroll.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

- Working knowledge of federal and multi-state wage laws required.
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills and ability to interact with others.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree or higher, preferred
- FPC or CPP certification or ability to achieve within 18 months of hire.
- Minimum of 5 years of related payroll experience
- Experience supporting Payroll for multiple companies
- Prior experience with UKG and Work Force Dimensions, preferred
- Demonstrated experience with MS Office (expert in Excel)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Most work requires normal physical effort.
- Requires use of computer (word processing and spreadsheets) for compiling reports, statistical data, composing memoranda and other similar documents.
