Job Description:

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Associate Analytical Scientist to join its team. This role offers the opportunity to support upstream and downstream process development through analytical testing and assay support in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in biologic characterization and strong technical knowledge of analytical techniques relevant to bioprocessing.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Provide analytical testing support for upstream and downstream process development groups.
  • Execute analytical assays for in-process samples in a non-GMP setting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for assay transfer, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records in electronic lab notebooks.
  • Analyze and interpret data and present findings in team meetings.
  • Support documentation efforts including writing technical reports and method documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline with 4+ years of relevant experience; or Master's degree with 2+ years of experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience in analytical techniques used in biologics development (i.e., SEC, SDS-PAGE, CE-SDS, ELISA, titer).
  • Familiarity with monoclonal antibodies or protein therapeutics in a bioprocessing or cell culture environment.
  • Experience in assay transfer, troubleshooting, and method qualification is a plus.
  • Strong analytical thinking, documentation skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
