ABOUT THE ROLE

** This position is NOT open to Staffing Companies or Recruitment Agencies**

The AP Accounting Assistant I (Temp) will use organization and detail orientation skills to process vendor invoices and payments in a timely manner. The Assistant is responsible for tracking of vendors and funds in the Company's accounting software system and utilizing Microsoft Excel. The Assistant will assist with check-mailing process and provide additional general administrative support to the team as needed.

At this point, this temporary position is expected to last through December 31, 2025, with the first three months requiring on-site presence in the office. Following this period, the role may transition to a hybrid schedule, allowing up to two days per week of remote work.

Essential Functions

  • Data entry of accounts payable invoices
  • Compile and sort invoices and checks
  • Review and process 2- and 3-way match vendor invoices in the AP workflow software within expected turn-around times
  • Verify invoice details from vendors for accuracy
  • Record business transactions and check requests
  • Review and process employee expense reports
  • Respond promptly and accurately to internal and external inquiries
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field location
  • Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards, if applicable

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of data entry, office administration, or accounting experience is required

Preferred Education

  • High school diploma or GED is required

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Customer service aptitude and high attention to details
  • Ability to work within a team environment with a collaborative approach
  • Ability to meet required deadlines
  • Excellent communicator, not afraid to ask questions
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal capabilities
  • Superior organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Capable of handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel (accuracy with data entry, formatting fields, and standardizing data)
  • Familiarity with business systems and working knowledge of accounts payable or accounting software

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: $22.50 per hour, Paid Weekly
