Summary:
The Special Education Tech III - ADD role works as a member of the education and behavioral treatment team of the Partial Hospital Program to provide youth with autism and developmental disorders who are having emotional or behavioral challenges with designated instructional services to meet the academic, behavioral and daily living needs of students.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Minimum of 90 credits of approved study required.
  2. License/Certifications: Certification as an Education Technician III from the Maine Department of Education (minimum of 90 credits in approved study) required. Valid Driver's License required.
  3. Experience: Two years of experience working with children or youth with developmental disorders, mental health disorders, and/or challenging behavior in school, hospital, or residential setting required.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Ability to drive a hospital van to pick up/drop off students from the program.
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Knowledge and skills necessary to provide education and care to students' ages 5-
