As a Field Service Technician, you will work with some of the largest and most successful companies in the world and will receive top notch training on industry-leading fire alarm systems and fire suppression equipment. This is your chance to join a company where you will be appreciated and will be a member of an elite team covering near the Secaucus, NJ area.
Our technicians perform inspections and testing on fire alarm systems and assist with installation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
WORK ENVIRONMENT This is a remote position that would be deployed from the associate's home to local job sites for installs, service, or repairs. Company vehicle, tools, technology, and equipment provided. Occasional on-call days and/or overtime required for unscheduled service needs. Job duties require the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and crawl into tight or awkward places. Overnight travel required up to 25% of the time. All associates are required to pass a drug screen, background check and motor vehicle report. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Basic computer literacy. Basic mechanical and electrical ability. Demonstrated ability and interest in learning electrical and mechanical concepts. Capable of using Windows-based software as well as mobile iPad applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Organized and detail-orientated. Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills. Self-directed with the ability to work autonomously. Demonstrated customer service mindset. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent,
required. One year experience in servicing commercial Fire Alarm systems
, required. Associate degree in electronics or related field
, preferred. Experience with the following manufacturers: Kidde, Fenwal, Notifier, Fike, FCI,
