Provides broad-based support for the development, implementation and administration of HR programs and policies. Provides consulting services to general management on a variety of issues related to HR including employment, recruiting, employee relations, HR programs and policies.

Essential Duties

  • Management responsibilities include, but are not limited to hiring, terminations, coaching, skills development, recognition and rewards, performance management, and staff productivity.
  • Plans, organizes, staffs, directs and controls the day-to-day operations of the department; develops and implements policies and programs as necessary.
  • Conducts meetings with the appropriate personnel to address any HR issues or employee relations concerns; encourages feedback and develops action plan if needed.
  • Consults and advises management on more complex issues including disciplinary action, performance improvement and reorganization that may result in personnel displacement or employee relations concerns, policy exceptions, and succession planning.
  • Formulates all HR programs, policies, and procedures and determines the most effective methods of disseminating this information to the work force.
  • Ensures compliance with all employment laws, regulations, and FedEx policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimal Education

Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Liberal Arts, or related discipline required.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years related experience. A related advanced degree may offset experience requirement.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong analytical, quantitative, and PC software skills required.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal, coaching, consulting, and process and project management skills.

Frequent travel may be required.
