Description
The Genetic Counselor III is a grant supported role that will be responsible to provide genetic counseling services to patients through CNMC on site or at designated outreach centers. Obtain medical and family histories, review pertinent medical records, counsel families regarding underlying diagnosis/medical findings including natural history and inheritance pattern (if applicable), and write counseling letters when indicated. Promote genetic disease awareness. Coordinate and supervise genetic counselor student rotators. Required to participate in extra department projects that promote the enhancement and dissemination of genetic knowledge. Master's degree from an ABGC/ACGC accredited genetic counseling training program. Board certified. Minimum 10 years experience working as a genetic counselor. Qualifications
