Job Summary |
The Naveen Jindal School of Management at The University of Texas at Dallas is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented
Web Content Editor to join our collaborative and innovative team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the accuracy, relevance, and consistency of content across the school's web platforms. You will oversee and manage web content to strengthen our online presence and improve the user experience for
UTD students, faculty, and staff. This position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on how our community engages with digital content and reports to the Director of Digital Services and Analytics. |
Minimum Education and Experience |
Bachelor's Degree in Communications or a Liberal Arts field. Five to seven years of experience in journalistic or corporate communications. Microsoft Office Suite; expert written and oral communication skills. |

- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in journalistic, academic, or corporate communications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop, and/or Illustrator, and design tools such as Figma or Canva.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Content Oversight: Manage, review, and edit content across multiple webpages to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with brand and messaging standards. Collaboration: Partner with team members, content owners, stakeholders, and departments to support a collaborative and efficient content management process. Quality Assurance: Apply quality control processes to uphold web content accuracy, consistency, and compliance with brand guidelines. Content Review: Develop and distribute a Qualtrics survey to all stakeholders, conduct a comprehensive content audit, and track necessary changes for each webpage. Each content owner will then confirm their page is either accurate or requires updates. All responses are documented and compiled for reference. Monitoring Analytics: Collaborate with the team to use web analytics tools for assessing content performance and effectiveness, and make data-informed recommendations for improvement. Content Optimization & SEO Alignment: Work with the team to integrate keyword strategies and SEO best practices into web content to ensure it is engaging, accessible, and optimized for search engines. Training: Provide training to content owners and stakeholders on web content standards, accessibility, and content management best practices.

Remote Work Notice
A hybrid remote work schedule may be available (currently 1-day remote weekly).
Employee must be located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and/or with 24-hour notice. Completion and approval of a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required upon employment, and use of personal computer, internet, and other standard equipment may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to regular review and re-approval and may be canceled at any time.
