About the Job

The Department of Radiology is seeking to fill a temporary Genomic Data Analyst to work with stem cell data. This position will work under the direction of Bruce Hammer, PhD.

Responsibilities:
* Work with Bionanotechnology personnel at the Minnesota Supercomputing Institute on Spatial transcriptomics of embryoid bodies subjected to magnetic levitation.
* After analyzing data collaborate with Genetics, Cell Biology and Development personnel and Dr. Hammer to submit a manuscript to a journal describing the effect of reduced gravitational loading on spatial transcriptomics of stem cells.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

All required qualifications must be included in the application materials

Required Qualifications:
* BA/BS degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience to equal 9 years.
* Ability to problem solve or troubleshoot unexpected results
* Highly self-motivated and able to work independently
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Strong organizational skills
* Time management

Preferred Qualifications:
* Individual should have worked on NASA project exploring the effect of reduced gravity on stem cell function.
* Have 5+ years of experience working with embryoid bodies, magnetic levitation and transcriptomics.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $25/hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
