GENERAL SUMMARY
- Under general supervision and reporting to the Operations Manager, the Electrical/Mechanical Assembler is responsible for the installation of Wire Harnesses on the Train.
- The Electrical and Mechanical Assembler will execute assembly operations according to engineering drawings and standard operating procedures in a safety-first environment
- ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- Travel as needed to accomplish program objectives.
- Assembles parts and/or units and positions, aligns, and fastens units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames using various hand and power tools.
- Positions, aligns, and adjusts parts for proper fit and assembly.
- Connects cables, tubes and wiring according to standard manufacturing methods and procedures.
- Attaches name plates and/or marks identifying information on parts.
- Repairs a wide variety of electrical and electro-mechanical equipment.
- Analyzes and initiates assembly methods according to process requirements.
- Makes frequent interdepartmental contacts to resolve technical problems, validates recommendations or reviews material requirements.
- May be required to fulfill line lead duties
- Uses specific computer databases including, but not limited to, SAP to manage large amounts of information, input data, retrieve specific records, and create reports to communicate the information.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to enter, manipulate and format text and numerical data; insert, delete and manipulate cells, rows and columns; and create and save worksheets.

Pay: $20 - $24/hr DOE
Duration: Direct Hire
Shift Schedule:
1
st Shift - will work 6:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Thursday.
2
nd Shift - will work 4:00pm to 1:30am Monday through Thursday.
3
rd Shift (Weekend shift) - will work 6:00am to 6:00pm Friday through Sunday.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience in electronic soldering, assembly, and testing, or related technical background.
- Ability to read work orders, follows production drawings, written/verbal instructions, and sample assemblies
- Electronic instruments and mechanical hand tools experience. reliant, and honest.
- Basic hand tools including torque, crimper, etc.
- Solders using intermediate techniques
- MS Office Electrical/Mechanical Assemblers
- Strong verbal, written and communication skills
- Project management, time management, problem solving and organization
- Fluent English - reading and writing is required
- Professionalism, integrity, and exceptional attention to detail
- Strong independent decision-making skills; excellent analytical skills and professional judgment
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Understands written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents and possesses the ability to read and interpret drawings and wire lists.
- Demonstrates intermediate computer skills including the ability to use a computer's scroll bars, mouse, and dialog boxes to work within the operating system.
