Overview TRC Advanced Energy (TRC) is a nationally known energy efficiency consultancy. TRC collaborates with clients to develop and implement market-transforming programs and initiatives that promote energy efficiency, renewable energy, and decarbonization in multiple market sectors across the US. These initiatives reduce energy costs, improve the health and safety conditions of buildings, while also helping the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. TRC acts nationally to address some of our country's most challenging problems: global climate change and energy independence. TRC is seeking a qualified Project Engineer II to support commercial and industrial (C&I) energy efficiency and demand management programs in New Jersey. Responsibilities may include energy auditing, energy analysis, energy modeling, engineering reviews, technical writing, and project management. Candidates must possess strong technical capabilities including knowledge of building systems, energy efficiency strategies, demand management, sustainability and decarbonization. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the Advanced Energy team and external stakeholders to provide engineering and auditing support for market-transforming programs across multiple building sectors. The role involves a mix of office-based technical analysis and on-site project fieldwork on a diverse range of commercial and industrial (C&I) projects with varied energy systems. It includes frequent interaction with clients and may require local travel. Success in this position requires strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills; adaptability; a broad technical skill set; and excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication. The candidate will be expected to apply sound judgment and experience to manage complex tasks, meet project goals, and deliver high-quality results in a dynamic, client-facing environment. Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
