Position Objectives
- Project Management: Lead and coordinate cross-functional engineering projects across embedded firmware, Linux-based application development, and web/UI teams. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget using Agile methodologies.
- Product & Application Specification: Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to ensure system designs meet customer and market requirements.
- Product Training: Coordinate beta site installations and support product readiness for field deployment.
- Financial Management: Estimate, monitor, and track project budgets and schedules in collaboration with finance and engineering leads.
- Process & Quality: Develop and maintain project management standards, Agile practices, and quality systems to support continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Agile Project Management
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and maintain team boards and backlogs.
- Create and monitor project plans, identifying dependencies, risks, and critical paths.
- Balance resource allocation across multiple concurrent projects and teams.
- Communicate project scope, goals, and progress to stakeholders and sponsors.
- Track and report on Agile KPIs such as velocity, burndown, and cycle time.
- Support the development of project management tools, templates, and best practices.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Align embedded platform, business logic, and web/UI teams to ensure cohesive delivery of industrial products.
- Participate in design reviews and customer support meetings to ensure technical alignment.
- Coordinate with sales, field service, and product teams to support beta deployments and customer feedback loops.
Application Development Support
- Gather and translate customer and stakeholder input into actionable requirements.
- Provide structured feedback to development teams to ensure alignment with customer needs.
Product Training & Deployment
- Lead coordination of beta site installations, including customer communication and internal resource planning.
- Work with sales and field service to identify and support pilot customers.
- Manage Engineering Change process to ensure released products are incorporated into the wider business correctly.
Knowledge & Experience
- 5+ years of project management experience in technical product development (hardware, firmware, embedded systems, or software).
- Familiarity with embedded Linux, microcontroller-based systems, and web application development.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial product lifecycles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- PMP certification or working toward certification is desirable.
Skills
- Strong communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Agile tools (e.g., Wrike, Jira, Confluence) and Microsoft Office 365.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and drive decision-making.
- Capable of planning and executing complex projects with minimal supervision.
- Technical fluency to engage with engineers on hardware/software integration topics.
Limited travel is required.
