Are you a detail-driven logistics professional with a sharp eye for numbers and a passion for accuracy? In this critical role, you'll ensure rate integrity, optimize invoice compliance, and support data-driven decision-making that keeps us competitive and efficient across every route and rate lane. Analyze, Audit & Optimize Freight Spend You'll be the go-to expert in ensuring our carrier charges align with agreements-and our data leads to smarter decisions. Audit & Validate Invoices: Review freight, drayage, and intermodal invoices for accuracy and contract compliance. Flag & Resolve Issues: Identify discrepancies or out-of-tolerance charges and work with vendors and teams to resolve them. Support Month-End Close: Prepare accruals, verify invoice completeness, and coordinate closely with Finance. Research Invoice Inquiries: Track down missing charges and address carrier questions with accuracy and professionalism. Own Rate Data Integrity & Market Intelligence You'll manage, analyze, and maintain critical rate and contract data that supports our financial performance and market competitiveness. Maintain Rate Files: Ensure all rate agreements are current and accurately loaded into our TMS. Benchmark Market Rates: Track rate trends for common routes and identify opportunities to reduce costs or improve speed. Respond to Quotes: Validate rate accuracy, prevent misrated shipments, and support real-time quote requests. Support Financial Reporting: Provide data and analysis for forecasts, KPIs, and budget planning. Bring the Expertise that Keeps Us Competitive This role blends logistics knowledge with analytical thinking and tech proficiency to support sound financial operations. Industry Background: 3+ years in transportation or logistics, with a focus on intermodal rate administration. Systems Savvy: Experience with TMS platforms is required; Oracle Transportation Management is a big plus. Analytical Mindset: Strong math and reasoning skills to identify problems, evaluate solutions, and communicate results. Communication Strength: Clear, accurate written and verbal communication across teams and with vendors. Work Independently: Prioritize and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Collaborate Effectively: Coordinate with Finance, Operations, and geographically dispersed teams. Work Environment: Corporate office setting with regular use of standard office equipment. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/move items up to 20 lbs., sit or stand for extended periods, and read screen-based info. Travel Ready: Occasional travel to U.S. locations, including Hawaii.
