We are seeking a Product Manager to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of our Waltham, MA office.

Job Summary

The Product Manager role on Imprivata's Patient Access team is a unique opportunity to help grow and iterate through Imprivata's new face recognition solution. This role will partner across engineering, product design, and business contributors to ensure timely development, release, and customer adoption of the face recognition product. This role is critical in enhancing patient safety, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring a seamless, privacy-conscious patient identification experience across care settings. You will work at the intersection of AI/biometrics, healthcare workflows, and data privacy.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal teams (engineering, design, implementation, compliance, legal) and external partners (hospitals, EHR vendors) to deliver impactful solutions that align product development with company goals, regulatory requirements, and market trends.
  • Conduct user research, patient journey mapping, and requirements analysis to define clear and comprehensive product specifications.
  • Prioritize product backlog and write user stories with measurable acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with engineering to drive agile development cycles, participate in sprint planning, and ensure timely product releases.
  • Ensure product is designed with privacy-first principles in compliance with HIPAA and biometric data regulations.
  • Manage clinical pilots and beta programs to validate product performance in real-world healthcare settings.
  • Examine performance metrics (false match rate, user adoption) and ensure product quality.
  • Support a successful go-to-market launch with marketing, sales, implementation, and customer success teams.
  • Develop training materials and support onboarding for healthcare staff and IT teams.
  • Gather user feedback, monitor usage data, and prioritize enhancements post-launch. Stay updated on advances in biometric technology, patient ID regulations, and EHR interoperability standards.
  • Other duties as assigned and required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 3-6 years of product management experience, ideally in healthcare, biometrics, AI/ML, or enterprise SaaS/cloud solutions.
  • Solid knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, biometric data regulations, consent) and healthcare workflows.
  • Proven track record of launching complex products from concept to deployment.
  • Experience working in agile teams with engineers, designers, and data scientists.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of taking ownership and driving results on technical projects.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working within regulated industries such as healthcare or financial services.
  • Familiarity with SAML and/or OIDC-based authentication, identity verification, and identity stores. Knowledge of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and API design.

This position offers a total compensation range of $123,900.00 to $134,400.00 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata's benefit offerings can be found here. This range represents the high and low end of Imprivata's compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate's location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
