Position Description

We are seeking aSenior Associateto join ourClient Strategy teamwithin theU.S. Wealth Management (GWM)group. This team plays a critical role in shaping, synthesizing, and enhancing client engagement by creating, refining, and delivering resources that deepen client relationships, showcase the best of PIMCO, and drive business growth.

These resources span a wide range-including content, tools, campaigns, events, and broader interactions with investment professionals. Our team develops strategies that are digestible, relatable, and client focused. Client Strategy serves as a strategic overlay for U.S. GWM, working in close partnership with teams across Portfolio Management (PM), Product Strategy Group (PSG), Marketing, Client Solutions & Analytics (CS&A), and Client Management.

This role combines hands-on execution of client engagement activities with a strategic focus that will evolve over time. The successful candidate will initially focus on learning the business and supporting the execution of key client events and programs, working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams. As they gain experience and insight, they will take on greater ownership of strategic initiatives aimed at maximizing client impact and return on investment.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic approaches to maximize the return on investment from client engagements, including speaker selection, messaging, and resource prioritization.

  • Provide comprehensive support for all aspects of the Client Strategy team's engagement initiatives - including events, conferences, speaker coordination, advisor education, and related programs - ensuring alignment with business objectives and flawless execution.

  • Manage logistical planning and coordination for client engagement activities to ensure a seamless client experience. Support project management efforts and progressively take on more strategic responsibilities as familiarity with the business deepens.

  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders - including client-facing teams, advisor education, marketing, product strategy, and portfolio management - to drive awareness and adoption of GWM initiatives and sales campaigns through internal communications, resources, tools, etc.

  • Play a key role in helping to build a comprehensive, repeatable, end-to-end client engagement process for pre- and post-event(s), with a focus on continual touchpoints and resources to maintain top-of-mind awareness.

  • Step in and contribute across a variety of initiatives as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to team priorities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree required.

  • 3-6 years of experience in the financial services industry, ideally within wealth management, business development, client-facing, or internal sales roles.

  • Demonstrated understanding of wealth management, including client segmentation, the competitive landscape, investment trends, and advisor best practices strongly preferred.

  • Strong project and event management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives and ensure seamless execution.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing presentations and coordinating with speakers for client-facing events.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments, with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

  • Comfort using data and insights to evaluate engagement effectiveness and inform strategic decisions.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with CRM or marketing tools (e.g., Salesforce, Seismic) is a plus.

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
Salary Range: $ 125,000.00 - $ 140,500.00
