Overview:

As a Clinic RN in Gastroenterology, you'll play a key role in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting. You'll use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, while actively involving patients and their families in decision-making. Your responsibilities include developing individualized care plans, documenting educational needs, and coordinating care across departments to ensure a seamless experience. You'll communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, participate in physician rounding, and utilize safety tools like SBAR to support patient handoffs. Staying current with certifications, policies, and evidence-based practices is essential, as is contributing to process improvement and professional development initiatives. You'll also delegate and guide support staff within their scope of practice, maintain accountability for clinical outcomes, and uphold Mercy's mission, values, and service standards in every interaction.

Qualifications:

• Education:Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Licensure:Current valid RN license (state-specific).
  Note: Home Infusion roles require a valid driver's license.
• Certifications:CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Skills:Strong clinical judgment, calm under pressure, excellent communication, and a team-first mindset.
• Technology:Basic computer skills or willingness to learn clinical systems.

• Previous experience in a clinic or gastroenterology setting
• Additional certifications relevant to outpatient care
