CDL A OTR (Over the Road) - Driver III

Overview The OTR Driver will operate commercial truck/trailer, tractor trailer or combination vehicle (a vehicle that weighs over 26,001 lbs.) that requires a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A to pick-up and deliver parcels. Spur Freight, Inc. drivers are responsible for safely and accurately deliver and pickup cargo, keep accurate driving log- ELD and for inspect and maintain the company trucks. Responsibilities
Drive truck to and from specified destinations safely and follow all state, local laws, and DOT regulations
Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Reading and writing English, knowledge of airport codes destinations and basic geography knowledge Medium * Must be detail oriented and able to work in fast pace, high volume environment Medium * Strong organizational and time management skills Medium * Actively participates in safety policies, activities, and implementations Medium * A team player who works well with others - being respectful to our teammates is a Core Value High * A strong work ethic with an appreciation for ownership, independence, accountability, and autonomy in your role High * Growth mindset - being passionate about your craft, always looking for ways to improve yourself and the company, being open to change and doing things differently High * Customer service focus - we serve a wide variety of customers, both internal and external, and building relationships is a part of our culture High Licenses and Certifications * CDL - Group A - Commercial Drivers License - Must have a valid CDL A to drive a truck 26,001 lbs. or greater Upon Hire (Required) * Must be a TSA-certified truck driver and obtain a STA number Upon Hire (Required) * Maintain a current Department of Transportation Medical Card Upon Hire (Required) * Have an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) Upon Hire (Required) * Be able to pass Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and road test Upon Hire (Required) * Cargo screening is required if driving in CA. Upon Hire (Required) * No more than three (3) moving violations in the past 36 months (or combination of two (2) moving violations previous 12 months. Moving violations include seatbelt and cell phone violations. Upon Hire (Required) * No preventable accidents involving a fatality, bodily injuries treated away from the scene, or disabling damage to a motor vehicle within three years Upon Hire (Required) * Has no conviction for driving while intoxicated or under the influence of drugs violation within the past seven (7) years Upon Hire (Required) * Reside within a one-hour commute from Earth City, Mo to ensure timely attendance and participation in on-site activities (Required) About AIT Worldwide Spur Freight, Inc. provides transportation services across the United States.
