Position Summary

Oversee and manage the OPG Engineered Solutions team, specifically in providing managerial oversight and mentoring to the team to ensure OPG processes are being followed, project and business objectives are being met, and communication and reporting is clear to internal stakeholders.

Support Senior Leadership with (but not limited too) staffing, data collection for accurate P&L report out and strategy implementations to the service line.

WORK LOCATION AND TRAVEL

  • Role provides the opportunity to work in hybrid environment, working both virtually and in office when required.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Manage assigned team of Project Managers in support of all customer and Oceaneering expectations and requirements.
  • Responsible for all project management assignment in support of proposal generation and project execution.
  • Establish, maintain and report KPIs for ensuring adherence to processes, increase efficiency, reduce COPQ and increase profitability (KPIs to be agreed annually as defined by Sr. Manager IMR & ES).
  • Work with Functional Group Leadership in improvement opportunities to meet project and business objectives.
  • Work with Commercial Engineering Lead and Tender Manager in commercial discussions, bid evaluations and review, and other requirements in support of commercial opportunities.
  • Manage, mentor and coach: Project Managers and Project Engineers within the Engineered Solutions team.
  • Assist in enhancing information, processes, and interfaces between the groups to increase operational excellence.
  • Lead local organization in championing HSE, Quality and Operational Excellence initiatives.
  • Work with other Discipline Leads in optimization and standardization across the organization.
  • Assist Sr. Manager IMR & ES for financial forecasting, UDC budget creation and maintenance.
  • Assist Sr. Manager IMR & ES for commercial bid evaluations and business development activities as assigned.
  • Domestic and international travel up to 25%.

  • Resources for Engineered Solutions Projects.
  • Readiness and competency of all Engineered Solutions project managers.
  • All HSE initiatives are reviewed and understood across the Enterprise.
  • All Quality initiatives are implemented across the Enterprise.
  • All processes changes or implementation is completed and maintained across the organization.

KEY INTERACTIONS:

  • Client management and business development activities as assigned by Sr. Manager IMR & ES.
  • As required, discuss local technical and engineering support, any new or ongoing support requirements.
  • As required, discuss with local SCM leader all KPIs / SLA as agreed.
  • Close alignment with HR with respect to Manpower Planning / Recruitment / Utilization and Development.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in: Business, Engineering, Operations, or Management, or equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum seven (7) years' experience in O&G or engineering to include at least three (3) years of Project Management experience; or, any combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.

DESIRED:

  • PMP Certification
  • 10 years' experience in Engineered solutions-based projects.
  • P&L Responsibility for 3+ Years.
  • 3+ years' experience managing a team.

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
