Job Summary
The Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center is excited to begin the search for a Communications & Marketing Specialist! This individual plays a key role in developing and executing strategic communications, marketing, and promotional content across a variety of platforms.
The ideal candidate will be a creative communicator with strong writing and design skills who can help amplify the Gogue Center's brand, programs, and mission through print, digital, and social media. This individual will support the development and execution of marketing campaigns, assist with project management, workflow and trafficking, participate in content creation, and help ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
Essential Functions

  • Develops marketing and communication plans to promote the vision, mission, goals and achievements of the Gogue Center.
  • Researches content for dissemination through a variety of mediums, such as internal or external publications, brochures, posters, newsletters, websites, presentations, development/fundraising materials, press packages, or broadcast media.
  • Coordinates the production of materials to include content/style editing, designing, printing, photography and/or copywriting.
  • Coordinates marketing and communication calendars, production schedules and deadlines, including coordination of work carried out by external vendors.
  • Assists director of communications and marketing with incoming project requests and project management; coordinates and communicates project timelines.
  • Helps traffic work within the communications and marketing team. Facilitates communications workflow between team members and stakeholders.
  • Helps maintain the Gogue Center's website.
  • Submits material to journals, associations or other external media, either proactively or in response to requests.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of communications, public relations, and/or marketing programs.
  • Plans and organizes special events and meetings; participates in events designed to help promote the Gogue Center, its programs, and mission.
  • Provides general administrative support to the communications and marketing team.
  • May maintain files, databases and electronic records of materials.
  • May develop and manage a unit budget as well as assist with preparation of contract or grant proposals.
