Here's what you'd do:

• Applies quality principles in design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and buy products.
• Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings, and procedures.
• Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers on quality-related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.
• Engages in product failure investigations, material review board decisions, and corrective/preventive action.
• Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and are compliant with requirements.
• Develops strategies and systems to improve internal and supplier performance and productivity.
• Evaluates quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
• Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment; conducts product quality tests and performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet needed standards and specifications.
• Engages in the supplier selection process and maintains certification programs.

Pay: $33.00 - $45.00 / hr.

Hours: 4/10 hrs/Week. (1^st shift).

Length: Contract (12 months).

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in performing Root Cause Analysis and identifying corrective actions using structured methods, such as DUO, Fault Tree Analysis, Fishbone Diagrams, DOE.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in performing audits and participating in third-party/customer audits.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Quality engineering skills related to electro-mechanical assembly operations, including interpreting engineering drawings/build instructions/process procedures, developing inspection processes and methodologies, and determining product compliance.
• DoD contract experience.
• IPC 610/620 and J-STD-001 standard certification.
• Experience interfacing with Government Customer Representatives.
• AS9102 FAI experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• ISO/AS9100 knowledge.
• Ability to interface with multiple stakeholders, including Military Customers, effectively work in cross-functional teams, and communicate with a positive impact.
