Position Overview The Sr Director, Business Unit Finance is responsible for driving profitable growth of the MCED (Multi Cancer Early Detection) and International Business Units, and will provide strategic financial insights, drive the budgeting and forecasting process, and ensure effective financial decision-making within the business unit. This role is a key strategic advisor to the EVP, Chief Growth Officer, CEO and CFO, and other executive and operational leaders within the BU leadership team to develop, implement and monitor short- and long-term financial strategies to accomplish what is set forth within the BU priorities. This role is also responsible to drive sound business decisions by analyzing strategies related to partnerships, new business opportunities, and key projects that are aligned with the BU's plan. This role is a dual report to the CFO and EVP, Chief Growth Officer. The role is on the BU leadership team and leads a team of financial and analytical professionals. Essential Duties Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Serve as a key member of the BU leadership team in developing and implementing transformational business plans across the portfolio, including organic growth as well as cost efficiency.
- Act as a thought leader by providing analytical insight and perspective to the EVP, Chief Growth Officer, other executives, and the BU leadership team.
- Help the EVP and Chief Growth Officer develop an international and MCED growth strategy and drive operational execution of the strategy with the cross-functional global team.
- Lead and develop the BU finance team to deliver strategic financial partnerships to BU leaders.
- Lead the existing International Finance team and continue to build for future growth.
- Co-lead with other VP, Finance and VP, Corporate FP&A leaders for forecasting and scenario analysis in conjunction with underlying business development plans and objectives.
- Oversee development of BU strategic planning, including capital and operating budgets, to ensure optimal utilization of financial resources.
- Lead the development of future financial strategies for the BU by establishing annual financial goals and monitoring and analyzing performance against these objectives.
- Responsible for top-to-bottom P&L and cash flow management within the BU.Drives focus on free cash flow and partners with Treasury on free cash flow forecasting and capital structure within the BU.
- Partner with the EVP, Chief Growth Officer and the BU leadership team through participation in operating reviews, budget and forecast reviews, and other operational finance duties as requested. Work with the BU leadership team to drive growth and value creation.
- Boost BU ROI by enhancing the efficiency of R&D investments and advising on strategic partnerships, acquisitions and divestitures.
- Assess and drive support for mergers and acquisitions and third-party transitions for potential deals, evaluate their fit with the BU's long-term goals, and ensure they align with Exact Sciences' mission and vision. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage risks, identify synergies, and execute integration plans port-acquisition.
- Serve as a change agent; develop agility in and mobilize others in the organization to initiate operational change.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, corporate finance, and financial modeling.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
- Proven track record of driving financial performance and delivering strategic financial insights.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a commitment to developing talent.
- Proficiency in financial planning software and tools.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Salary Range: $208,000.00 - $354,000.00
The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to be considered for company stock at hire and on an annual basis.
