The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Professor or Associate Professor. In addition to teaching trainees and conducting research, responsibilities include providing executive leadership for clinical activities, patient safety, and workforce management for physicians, advanced practice providers (APPs) and the physician practice at SRAlab. The person will be involved with supporting the clinical strategy, quality, and financial objectives with SRAlab's mission. This will include overseeing physician performance, compensation planning, and the development of medical leadership for SRALab.

Specific roles will include: Clinical leadership & physician workforce management; Overseeing all medical clinical operations for the SRAlab enterprise; Collaborating with the NUFSM Chair of PM&R to develop new academic programs ensuring their outstanding operation and sustainability; Ensuring alignment and integration of clinical, quality, and medical staff initiatives through the entire SRAlab enterprise; Leading the recruitment, development, and retention of top-tier physicians and APPs to support the organization's growth and clinical goals; Providing strategic oversight for physician clinical performance, ensuring alignment with institutional quality and medical staff initiatives; Overseeing medical staff leadership, Chief, Medical Affairs ("CMA"), Chief Quality Officer ("CQO") and the Associate Chief Medical Officer ("ACMO") as well as SRALab physician leaders, to drive performance improvement; Medical staff performance management & Compensation planning; Participating in growth & strategic partnerships for SRALab; Financial oversight of SRALab physician practice; Ensuring team building & talent development among SRALab medical staff and other clinical staff;* Representing SRALab's clinical programs to external partners, advocating for the organization's mission and values; and Promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development throughout the organization. This physician leader also will be involved with teaching medical students, residents, fellows, and other faculty. Opportunities and support will be provided to enable the faculty member to conduct, participate in, and lead research activities.

The individual reports to the SRALab CEO and collaborates with the NUFSM Chair of PM&R.

Qualified candidates will have the following qualifications:
* Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) with board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation .
* Advanced training in healthcare administration, public health, or a related field is preferred.
* Minimum of 10 to 15 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, with at least 8 to 10 years in senior clinical leadership roles overseeing multidisciplinary teams.
* Expertise in physician performance oversight, clinical integration, and value-based care models.
* Demonstrated success in aligning clinical, quality, and medical staff operations within a complex healthcare system.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills to engage with diverse collaborators.
* Proven ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve strategic goals in a collaborative environment.
* Commitment to Shirley Ryan AbilityLab's mission, values, and culture of innovation and excellence.

The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.

Expected pay range starts at $350,000 annually; final offer may be negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
