What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize Tapestry applications-including Premium Billing and Benefits Engine
- Design, build, test, and support new application modules and enhancements
- Develop deep expertise in supported systems and operational workflows
- Respond to service requests and incidents within defined Service Level Agreements
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for assigned functionality and workflows
- Escalate vendor issues, track resolutions, and report feature gaps
- Conduct root cause analysis and recommend process improvements
- Provide on-call support in alignment with team rotation schedules
- Follow robust change control processes and ensure thorough documentation
- Create training aids and occasionally deliver end-user training
- Complete project deliverables with accuracy and timeliness
- Evaluate new software releases and advocate for beneficial functionality adoption
- Build strong relationships with business owners and serve as CRM on small projects
- Collaborate in cross-functional workgroups as assigned
- Uphold UCLA C-I-CARE standards and institutional policies
- Model professional conduct and contribute to continuous improvement efforts

This flexible hybrid role allows for a blend of remote and on-site work, requiring presence on-site at least 10% of the time, within 12 hours of being asked to come on site, and as needed based on operational requirements. Please note, travel to the "home office" location is not reimbursed. Each employee will complete a FlexWork Agreement with their manager to outline expectations and ensure mutual understanding. These arrangements are periodically reviewed and may be adjusted or terminated as necessary. Salary offers are based on a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and internal equity. The full salary range for this position is $102,500- $227,500 annually. The University anticipates offering a salary between the 102,500 and $150,000 annually.
Qualifications
- Must hold or obtain necessary Epic certifications; attend training in Wisconsin if needed; achieve certification within six months and up to three exam attempts.
- Broad and/or in-depth knowledge in application specialty areas.
- Familiarity with system design, development, implementation, user support, maintenance, quality assurance, testing, and evaluation.
- Strong analytical, research, organizational, and data synthesis skills.
- Detail-oriented with ability to probe for underlying needs for system configuration.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Team-oriented; able to work with diverse groups at all levels.
- Effective leadership and customer service skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and resolve problems appropriately.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and standard IT systems.
- Skilled in system workflow and business process analysis and design.
- Bachelor's degree in health care IT, computer science, or related field; or equivalent combination of training/experience.
- Minimum three years of experience in a healthcare-related organization.
- Health Plan experience a plus
