Truss Design Manager in Training (DMIT) - Cartersville

84 Lumber is seeking a talented and experienced Truss Design Manager in Training (DMIT) to join our truss manufacturing design team in Cartersville, GA.

Role Overview:

The Truss Design Manager in Training will provide supervision, leadership, and development opportunities for the design technical staff, ensuring efficient management of design-related tasks under the guidance of the Director of the Design Team. Key responsibilities include:

• Mentoring designers and overseeing their work to ensure accuracy and quality in designs.
• Managing and resolving customer-related design issues and miscellaneous design challenges.
• Developing designers' skills to facilitate their progression through various design levels.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in designing roof and floor trusses and/or wall panels for single-family or multi-family designs.
• Experience with design software, including MiTek.
• Strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and keen attention to detail.
• Proactive individual passionate about driving design excellence and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Location:

This position is on-site in Oxford, GA.
