Job Description
Rewarding part-time nursing opportunity - 24 hours per week. ECT procedures are scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with flexible hours available for administrative responsibilities. ECT procedures are scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at the main hospital in the PACU, with flexible hours available for administrative responsibilities in our outpatient clinic. Opportunity for additional hours may be available within the Behavioral Health Nursing Department, based on interest and departmental needs. We're looking for a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to take on a key role as the Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) Coordinator in our psychiatry department . In this role, you'll partner with psychiatrists and the care team to ensure a safe, supportive, and well-coordinated experience for patients undergoing ECT. Key Responsibilities *Coordinate all aspects of ECT treatment with the psychiatrist and care team. *Educate patients and families about ECT, addressing questions and concerns with empathy and clarity. -Ensure all assessments and consent forms are completed. *Work closely with PACU staff to plan and manage pre- and post-procedure care. *Obtain insurance authorizations and organize all logistics for each ECT session. *Assist in the delivery of ECT within your clinical scope of practice. *Uphold the standards of the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and organizational policies.
