Summary: The Assistant Director of Transfer Partnerships in the Office of Admissions serves as the primary liaison between Temple University and its community college partners. In this role, the Assistant Director develops and nurtures strategic relationships with community college advisors and administrators to support seamless student transitions. Oversees and actively participates in the recruitment, evaluation, and admission of transfer students. Responsibilities include but are not limited to traveling to community colleges and other recruitment sites, hosting on and off-campus events, delivering presentations, and maintaining responsive communication with prospective students and key education stakeholders. The Assistant Director provides personalized outreach through phone, email, and in-person meetings to ensure a high-touch experience for prospective transfer students, completes transfer credit evaluations from prior institutions and standardized exams (e.g., AP) to determine transferable credits, and ensures the accuracy and consistency of credit evaluations across the university. The Assistant Director also coordinates information exchange between the Admissions office and Temple's schools and colleges in addition to assisting with training staff on transfer credit policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of related admissions experience in higher education. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required skills and abilities: * Strong knowledge of higher education admission processes as related to identifying and evaluating transfer students. * Ability to travel and transport Admissions materials to locations that may not be accessible via public transportation. * Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate recruitment cycle. * Knowledge of admissions and/or student transfer best practices. * Exceptional attention to detail. * Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. * Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects. * Excellent organization and time management skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. * Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as in a diverse team environment. * Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). * Strong skills in presentation/public speaking to large groups. * Valid driver's license. * Ability to lift up to 20 pounds of promotional recruitment material. * Ability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings (when needed).
