Client: Financial Services Organization
Role: Payroll Analyst
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000/annually

Location: Downtown, Manhattan (*5 days a week*)
Responsibilities:
  • Verify Payroll Accuracy: Meticulously verify payroll outputs for accuracy, sensibility, and overall correctness, mitigating any discrepancies before system production loading.

  • Conduct Payroll Audits: Execute standard audit data verification processes for all payroll data, ensuring information is correct and properly maintained at both the employee and employer levels.

  • Validate Employee & Tax Records: Validate the accuracy of employee, payroll, and tax records, including auditing and analyzing records for compliance with established employment, labor, and company standards.

  • Prepare Variance & Validation Reports: Prepare detailed variance and validation reports, balancing and controlling earnings and deduction totals. Inspect system outputs such as registers and standard reports, and promptly correct any out-of-balance conditions.

  • Collaborate on General Ledger Entries: Create and prepare general ledger entries for interface in collaboration with HRIS and Finance departments.

  • Manage Tax Reporting: Monitor and file tax reports and forms, respond to tax inquiries, and complete quarterly and year-end balancing.

  • Generate Reports: Run existing structured and ad hoc reports for validation purposes, for inclusion in financial statements, and to fulfill requests from management, HR, and Finance.

  • Process Payroll & Benefits Funding: Prepare wires and fund payroll and benefits, monitoring for transaction completion and mitigating any stopped workflows.

  • Support Wage Garnishments: Provide support for wage garnishments, including processing and validation.

  • Manage Union Payroll: Support our US Union population, which includes processing and validation of union invoicing.

  • Perform Administrative Duties: Complete other administrative duties as assigned.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
