Summary: The position is in the Office of Graduate and International Programs at Temple University Beasley School of Law. Temple is a top-ranked law school whose mission is to advance excellence in and access to global teaching, scholarship, and service. The law school's Office of Graduate and International Programs oversees all law school international programs, including Master of Laws programs, study abroad, and student exchanges. The office also develops new programs and redesigns existing international and other graduate legal education programs. The Director of International Programs will be responsible for managing the Master of Laws for Foreign-Trained Lawyers (LLM) program, including academic advising and course registrations, admissions, international student affairs and support, and career counseling and internships. The Director of International Programs will also recruit for the LLM, including prompt application management and speaking with prospective students. The Director of International Programs will develop community outreach programs with international law-related organizations with a focus on student recruitment and internships, identifying adjunct faculty, and providing networking resources for current students. The Director of International Programs will also oversee the SJD program and support other international programs, including Temple Rome and Temple Japan. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience: JD or LLM from an ABA accredited Law School and at least one year directly related experience. Experience with student recruitment in higher ed and within an international program setting. Demonstrated experience managing international student affairs. Experience with supporting or developing community outreach programs with international law related organizations. Experience with supporting international educational programs. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required skills and abilities: * Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. * Attention to detail and timely completion of tasks. * Ability to develop and expand international LLM student recruiting network and broaden international law internship opportunities. Connect prospective students with current law students and LLM alumni for marketing purposes. * Connect current international law students with LLM alumni to facilitate career opportunities. Work with law school alumni affairs when they offer events of interest to international alumni. * Manage the LLM admissions process, including prompt application review, admissions decisions, internal scholarship awards, and prospective student and current applicant communications. * Liaise with research assistants in law classes to monitor international law student progress and coordinate appropriate interventions when necessary. * Manage international student affairs for current students. Coordinate and provide international law student academic advising, law course registration, curriculum development, and events for international law students.
