OVERVIEW: Job Title: Concrete QC Technical Manager Location: Southaven, Ms Travel: Required - Bi-weekly travel to jobsite as needed Job Type: Full-Time Performance Evaluated by: Director of Paving and Operations & Quality Control Job Overview: Manage equipment, personnel, and subcontractors associated with concrete quality control through daily coordination with project management. Review and submit all concrete quality control documentation to meet contractual obligations. - Perform three-phase inspections preparatory, initial, and follow-up for applicable self-perform scopes of work.
- Monitor pavement section to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
- Coordinate daily with project management team to stay up to date on schedule changes and concrete quality control demands.
- Travel to project as needed to examine quality and operational activities are being performed to company and contractual standards.
- Review, approve, and submit required project documentation/reports to meet contractual requirements.
- Monitor all concrete materials to ensure they stay within the parameters detailed in the project documents.
- Monitor concrete quality control equipment condition and schedule relocation to confirm it is available and in good working condition prior to use by onsite staff.
- Communicate with QA/CO representative to relay any progress and necessary corrective actions.
- Review concrete quality control staff recorded work times prior to approval by project manager.
- Accurately log clock-in and clock-out time daily.
- Wear personal protective equipment while onsite in accordance with applicable safety regulations.
- Arrive on time ready to perform tasks that fall within your roles and responsibilities.
- Always maintain professional attitude.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
- Must possess valid Driver's License
- Must be able to obtain Military and Airport badge/pass
- Provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration Document
- ACI Transportation Construction Inspector (See attached for ACI JTA)
- ACI Concrete Quality Control Technical Manager (See attached for ACI JTA)
- Or ability to obtain above certifications and any other certification requested related to Concrete Paving Field within timeframe specified during the interview process.
- Be able to lift at least 30 pounds above your head.
- Be able to walk long distances and stand on feet for long periods of time.
- Be able to read, hear and understand contract documents and specifications.
