BMS HW Design Release Technical Team Lead

The Battery Management System (BMS) Design Release Technical Team Lead for high voltage battery hardware and integration is responsible for the end to end management of the BMS electrical design and production release of the battery pack assembly BMS printed circuit boards (PCB) Cell Supervisory Circuits (CSC) and related activities relative to electrical architecture, wiring, PCB's and busbars.

This person will work closely with the Battery Pack Electrical Technical Specialist and global cross functional team in order to ensure the BMS HW meets the Component system requirements on the HV Battery pack development timeline. This individual will also lead BMS HW sourcing activity as well as manage the local North America activities and personnel and will be the key escalation touchpoint for BMS Hardware issue resolution in North America as well as issue mitigation reporting as well as team KPIs. The Technical team lead will be engaged in supplier strategic roadmap discussions and key support for execution of BMS ECU hardware best practices and process.

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree field
  • A minimum of 8 years in product engineering electrical design, development and/or testing
  • Ability to analyze circuits, busbars, wiring, logic diagrams, and other related items to the high voltage battery pack assembly as it relates to BMS component hardware
  • Demonstrated experience source packages, specifications, DFMEA and DVP&R through the complete product cycle (from sourcing approval to serial production)
  • Provide technical support for electrical/electronic testing including circuit fatigue, EMI, RFI, etc.
  • Combination of systems engineering knowledge and strong analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly define solutions within a specific application.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and with a proactive attitude.
  • Proficiency with application engineering principles.
  • Project management proficiency and attention to detail
  • Shows ability to lead initiatives and manage multiple objectives in parallel


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in the full product life cycle design and release experience using the FCA releasing system
  • Project leadership experience and/or leading a technical team (1-2 years)
  • Reactive and/or DFSS Black Belt
  • Experience with Electrical Simulation tools
