   PRIMARY FUNCTION The Production Planner III is responsible the planning and coordination of complex assemblies and high-visibility production efforts. This role ensures material availability, schedule alignment, and manufacturing readiness across multiple programs, while actively supporting Planners and cross-functional teams. The Production Planner III drives proactive planning execution, mentors junior planners, and has the ability to create solutions and problem solve to enable on-time delivery and efficient operations. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  
   
    - Own planning for multiple or complex top-level assemblies, including all associated components and subassemblies.
 - Develop, release, and manage Manufacturing Orders (MOs), routings, and part demand to align with production schedules and customer delivery timelines.
 - Track and resolve material and schedule issues in coordination with supply chain, procurement, engineering, and production teams.
 - Collaborate with Project Managers to support program timelines, update delivery forecasts, and contribute to integrated schedule development.
 - Review and resolve Engineering Change Notices (ENCs) and material discrepancies that impact assigned programs.
 - Monitor and manage inventory levels, safety stock, and part availability to support build efficiency and program needs.
 - Develop processes and standard operating procedures for the department.
 - Mentor and assist junior planners; provide guidance on planning processes and tools.
 - Identify and implement improvements in planning workflows, tools, and documentation practices.
 - Participate in daily production meetings and report on planning readiness, red flags, and critical path items.
 - Conduct peer reviews of MOs for accuracy and completeness prior to release.
 - Assist in risk mitigation strategies for materials or schedule gaps that may affect program delivery.
 - Perform peer-to-peer reviews of MOs before release to ensure accuracy and completeness.
 - Perform other duties as necessary or required.
 
    
   
   BASIC REQUIREMENTS 
   
    - High school diploma with 7+ years of experience in production planning, material planning, or manufacturing operations.
 - Strong understanding of BOMs, routings, manufacturing orders, and planning systems.
 - Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
 - Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate fast-paced production environments.
 - Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Costpoint) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
 - Level of knowledge in material management in CP
 - Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
 - Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration with production, procurement, and engineering teams. 
 -  Requirement to complete Udemy Microsoft Project Training or equivalent within 3 months.
 
    
   
   PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:  
   
    - Bachelor's degree or ongoing BS studies in STEM or related program 
 - Proficiency with ERP systems and experience in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project.
 - Familiarity with Solidworks
 - Familiarity with PDM
 - Familiarity with the aerospace/manufacturing industry is a plus
 
    
   
   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 
   
    - Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
 - Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
 - Ability to traverse manufacturing facility
