BitSight is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Sales Development to lead and scale our high-performing Sales Development team located here in the US, EMEA, and APAC. As the first point of contact for prospective customers, the SDR team plays a pivotal role in driving our pipeline and supporting BitSight's continued growth. This is a leadership position focused on performance, coaching, cross-functional alignment, and strategic pipeline generation.

The ideal candidate is a proven sales leader with a deep understanding of outbound and inbound prospecting, qualification, and discovery. They will have a proven ability to effectively navigate and operate within a complex, multistakeholder environment, demonstrating skill in balancing diverse perspectives and priorities. They will bring experience managing and developing large, high-velocity sales teams in a fast-paced SaaS environment. This role oversees two SDR Managers and a global team of 30+ SDRs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a growing team of Sales Development Representatives across hybrid environments (remote and in-office).

  • Directly manage two SDR Managers and oversee a team of 30+ SDRs.

  • Drive daily execution of prospecting strategies-including inbound lead follow-up, outbound outreach, and personalized engagement via calls, emails, and messaging platforms.

  • Monitor and optimize SDR performance metrics such as lead conversion rates, pipeline contribution, activity volume, and quality.

  • Implement and refine scalable best practices for prospect research, persona-based messaging, campaign execution, and performance measurement.

  • Collaborate with RevOps to ensure reporting accuracy and data-driven insights into team effectiveness.

  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to align messaging, share feedback loops, and ensure seamless pipeline handoff.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews, implement personalized development plans, and foster career growth within the SDR organization.

  • Partner with key third-party sales enablement tools (e.g., Salesforce, SalesLoft, ZoomInfo, Drift, Demandbase, HubSpot) to drive SDR efficiency.

  • Deliver weekly enablement and training sessions, focused on skills development and ongoing learning.

  • Maintain a high-energy, results-oriented culture that emphasizes accountability, motivation, and recognition.

  • Engage with higher education partners to support ongoing SDR recruitment, sales competitions, and onboarding programs.

Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in technology/SaaS sales, with 4+ years in a leadership role managing Sales Development teams.

  • Proven track record leading and scaling SDR teams of 15+ in high-growth, fast-paced environments.

  • Expertise in sales methodologies and prospecting frameworks, across both inbound and outbound motions.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills with the ability to inspire and develop emerging talent.

  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Salesforce, SalesLoft, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, Drift, and Demandbase.

  • Proficient in Salesforce reporting and data analytics to track KPIs, forecast pipeline, and inform strategy.

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is US$150000 to $190000 annually for US-based employees. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, is based on a full-time work schedule, and is Bitsight's good faith estimate as of the date of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for participation in a bonus or commission plan and an equity grant. Bitsight also offers a competitive benefits package, including but not but limited to medical, dental, and vision insurance; paid parental leave; flexible time off; a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities; life and disability insurance; and tuition reimbursement.
